Shaw's Grousehaven Kennels
Welcome to the website of Shaw's Grousehaven Kennels. Our passion is hunting upland game, primarily grouse and woodcock, and hunting Hungarian partridge and sharp-tail grouse on the
prairies of Saskatchewan. We train pointing and flushing breeds for the
hunter who desires a finished dog for the upland hunting sports.
At Shaw's Grousehaven Kennels, owned and operated by Craig and Deb Shaw, we work with various breeds of pointing and flushing dogs, specializing in Brittanys. We have bred and trained Brittanys since 1983. Craig's father acquired the family's first Brittany in 1961. In the early 1980's, Craig started guiding hunts at Hunters Creek Club in Metamora, Michigan, and bought his first Brittany, Rex, in 1983. His second Brittany, Rose, soon followed. Rex and Rose formed the foundation for our kennel. Over the years, the pups of Grousehaven Kennels have placed in field trials, in the show ring, and earned AKC Master Hunter titles. Our goal is to produce dual quality dogs that hunt smart, and are a joy in the home.
